NEW HAMPSHIRE RIGHT TO WORK

On November 30, 2011 New Hampshire House Speaker William O'Brien is held a floor vote to attempt to override Governor Lynch's veto of HB 474, the so-called "Right-to-Work" bill. The vote failed by a vote of 240-139. Ultimately, the New Hampshire House of Representatives failed to achieve the two-thirds majority needed to overturn Governor Lynch's veto of HB 474, the so-called "Right-to-Work" bill. The House's vote to sustain the Governor's veto was a critical victory not only for New Hampshire, but also for AFTRA and SAG members and our unions.

New Hampshire residents, thank you for contacting your State Representatives and telling them that bills that weaken unions and hurt working families are not fiscally sound solutions to the current economic crisis. The House's vote to sustain the Governor's veto is a clear indication that your message was heard. New Hampshire's wages and benefits will continue to be protected because of your perseverance.
