iActor FAQ
I’m not the best with computers – is there anyone who can help me?

The iActor team hosts regular seminars to help you navigate the online profile process, including scanning and uploading photos. Check back frequently for upcoming iActor events.

If you can’t make it to an event, check out our Quick Start Guide for help with any part of the iActor process.

What if I have multiple resumes or headshots? Do I need separate profiles for each?
No. iActor allows you to set up several different resumes in one profile – you can build resumes that target different varieties of work (features or commercials, for example.) Your iActor profile also allows you to upload a variety of headshots.
Can I send my iActor resume directly to casting directors?
Absolutely. Once you’ve set up your iActor profile, one click of the “email resume” button will create a quick email form, and automatically attach a properly-formatted version of your resume. You can use this feature to send your resume to any of your contacts.
How will casting directors find me?

iActor was designed from the start to be an active community for casting professionals. We have created a series of tools and technologies for casting directors and all casting professionals; iActor is geared to become the ultimate one-stop shopping experience for casting directors looking for YOU – professional Guild talent.

Casting professionals will be able to search for performers in a variety of different ways. Our search technology is state-of-the-art and will allow casting directors to find performers based on gender, credits, special skills, and physical features. Once casting directors find performers that they’d like to consider, they will be able to save the talent’s information in ‘casting books’ that they can access offline. They will also be able to print your resumes, and contact your representatives through direct email.

Remember: Casting directors could find your headshot and resume and any time of day or night – so make sure all of your critical information is current. Help them help you find work!

Do I have to do it all at once?
iActor allows you to set up your profile at your own pace. You can save your progress along the way, and return at any time to make edits, add new photos, or update your credits. The service allows YOU to decide when your profile is ready for “public consumption” – so make sure to wait until you have a full profile set up before making it available for casting directors to see.
How do I get started?

It’s easy to sign up for iActor right away. View the QUICK START GUIDE (above) for a simple step-by-step outline of how to get your profile going. Make things even easier by gathering up a list of your credits, special skills, representation contact info and electronic copies of your headshots. The quick start guide will walk you through adding all of this information to your profile.

Who can use iActor?
Every single paid-up Screen Actors Guild member is eligible to use iActor. The more members who sign up, the more valuable the service becomes for everyone. No matter what sort of performer you are (including voice-over performers – you can upload your voice reel!) an iActor profile will put you at the fingertips of every casting professional, and help you get work.
