The Screen Actors Guild Foundation enhances the lives of actors by investing in programs which help them in their professional endeavors. Their financial assistance, catastrophic health, educational and literacy programs reflect the concerns and interests of SAG members as well as their desire to "give back" to their communities. The Foundation's Catastrophic Health Fund provides grants to eligible Guild members and their dependents who suffer from catastrophic illness or injury and are unable to afford the Guild Health Plan's Self-Pay Program. The Fund ensures that every eligible Guild member and his or her family can depend on continued health benefits when they need them most. We work closely with Pension and Health to ensure that everything that can be done will be done to help our members in times of distress. The Screen Actors Guild Motion Picture Players Welfare Fund (MPPWF) s an emergency financial assistance fund of the Screen Actors Guild and serves members in the New York region and all Branches East of Omaha, Nebraska which includes: Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Florida which includes members in Louisiana, North Carolina and Puerto Rico, Georgia, Nashville, Philadelphia and Washington-Baltimore. The SAG MPPWF is designed to assist eligible members who are struggling with a financial, personal or medical crisis.
